PEPTIDES
Peptides are synthesized replicas of our body’s short-chain cellular signaling proteins that are used to reverse specific disease, injuries or aging processes at the cellular and intracellular level.
These may be administered by subcutaneous injection, orally, topically or by nasal spray depending on the peptide and therapeutic goal.
Peptides can be used to
- accelerate repair of injured joints, muscles and connective tissue
- accelerate healing of fractures
- accelerate healing of nerves
- help heal internal organs such as heart or stomach problems and bowel inflammation
- improve growth hormone production and secretion
- regulate immune function and decrease inflammation in autoimmune disorders
- improve stem cell function
- help fight chronic and acute infections
- improve energy and mitochondrial health
- promote weight loss
- restore hair loss
- repair and slow aging of the skin
- improve memory
- decrease brain inflammation
- repair neurodegenerative diseases
- improve fertility
- improve libido and sexual function
- repair the stress response in chronic anxiety/PTSD or adrenal exhaustion
There are multiple peptides that can be used for many different purposes in disease management and anti-aging medicine.
Some of the most commonly used peptides are Thymosin alpha-1, Thymulin, Epitalon, BPC-157, Thymosin Beta-4 (AKA TB500), GHK-cu, VIP and semaglutide. In some cases, CJC-1295/ipamorelin, sermorelin or MK-677 may be appropriate for growth hormone support and regeneration during injury recovery or for appetite support.
Since 2013, I've had the privilege of helping patients all across the U.S. with a broad range of health challenges. Since 2020, peptides have been an important component of treatment for many of my patients. My education in applying peptide treatment comes from both the American Academy of Anit-Aging Medicine and from Seeds Scientific Research Project. The additional value peptides have added to improved patient outcomes in my practice is dramatic.
It's important to understand however that the treatment is individualized, monitored and prescribed through certified compounding pharmacies. This avoids the safety concerns around peptides sold directly to the public and specified for research only purposes. This is for your safety as the patient.
It is also important that the doctor not have a financial incentive to prescribe, and for this reason we use only independent compounding pharmacies.
Please understand that the peptide treatments are part of a comprehensive health plan that includes personalized functional medicine treatments and lifestyle/environment modifications if necessary. Peptides are not a magic bullet or stand-alone treatment. They are adjuncts the aide your journey toward health and improved longevity.
We have a saying... "We Don't Guess...We TEST!"
We look at FOODS! We look at NUTRIENTS! We look at TOXICITIES! We look at your environmental influences on health. We don't have a one size fits all cookie cutter approach.
We won't throw a peptide script at you without making sure you have these bases covered so you get the most out of the peptide treatment.
This is what separates us from other clinics out there. Most will simply throw a medication at the symptoms. We come at things from a comprehensive approach!
